September 21, 2014 Another Wonderful Miracle!

So to be honest we have kind of been a little sad, because we have lost a lot of cool investigators, and were having trouble finding people willing to progress, but we did a special fast and really have had some miracles. The first one is of a kid named Julio. He is 20 years old and his entire family are members for the last few years but he hasn't wanted to get baptised for these 2ish years and has had more then 19 missionaries teach him and try to convince him to get baptised. But he never wanted to join the church. So a few weeks ago (as it has happened like 10 times before) he said he wanted to get baptized, but then right before the interview he bailed and said he wasn't ready. We talked to him again, and he said he would do it next week, but we got to the interview and he said no again.. But we didn't give up and visited him every day and brought like every member over to his house, did another special fast cleared up all his doubts, and he finally accepted to get interviewed and passed, but then that Saturday he bailed again and said he wasn't ready!!! Ah so saddening, but we didn't give up, and had a battle (it felt like) and finally we figured out he didn't feel worthy to get baptised because he said he could never be perfect. Then we had one of the most spiritual lessons of all time about Jesus Christ, and he accepted baptism and then that same Friday before his interview expired we baptised him!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!! One of the most awesome victories of all time I could just feel God was happy and 18 missionaries were jumping up and down!! Woot!! It was legit!!!!!
And then I had a multi zone conference and talked to the people in my old areas and found out that three people I was teaching in my first area got baptized, and then in my old area, the family of Victoria and the deaf girl (new pres gave her permission to get baptised) gosh hearing about those 7 people just made me realize that sometimes I won't see the success and the final part of what I do but if I give my all it doesn't matter God will be happy with what I do.
I also had to go check 3 houses of disobedient missionaries  - things I have to do as a zone leader.... they were all sleeping at like 9 and had been doing stuff with member and recent convert girls... broke my heart to see these missionaries throwing away this gift to serve Him.. but oh well. i have seen it alot hah but it still sucks. But besides that I had an amazing week :) and I ate lots of tortillas

Love you guys, love Elder Davenport
