Another week. A Baptism!! Yahoo!

I had a baptism this week. His name is Jose Luis. it had to be one of the most special baptisms I have ever felt. He definitely will be an active member his whole life! His spirit and testimony is so strong! To be honest, my mission is not having alot of baptisms, but they feel that  if you have a baptism every 3 changes people look at you as successful. The truth is the only reason why it's hard to have baptisms is that the missionaries aren't following the rules because they believe that the only way to be happy is to break the rules, but this isn't true. To have a good area, the missionaries for 6 weeks have to work hard not expecting success (because of the 5 weeks baptism rule). The President is going to take me and my comp somewhere cool to celebrate our success! I am really excited! But I'm more excited for this following week to give my all to the Lord and become an instrument in his hands! I am hoping to baptize a little family this week. The son has stopped smoking (it is sad because to buy a cigarete all you need is l 2 pesos like 15 cents and they even light it for you..) and drinking (he is 15). He is a member but no one has visited him in 5 years and he has totally changed his life and his mom has changed too, and she and his little brother want to get baptised!! I am wayyyyy excited for them!! Hope it turns out!!! I love you guys, You guys are always in my prayers!!

  1. Dear Elder Grandson, Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your hard work trying to find those that need this gospel. Thanks for helping those that have gone a stray. You are a real light to our family! We all think of you and want to do more here to serve our Heavenly Father.

We had a wonderful Stake Conference this week end with a General Authority Elder Gifford Nielson ex quarter back for BYU and NFL player. He was wonderful! I was blessed to direct the stake choir and they did a wonderful job. It was great fun to be a part of the spirit that was there. Every speaker said that we are living in the most exciting time - the time where we are to prepare for the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. Missionary work is exploding and more temples being built to usher in our Savior's appearance and here you are a part of all of that. We are praying that your efforts will continue to be fruitful. They are so lucky to have you. Love and hugs - your adoring Grandparents. Grandmom and Granddad.
