February 24 - How Did It Go So Fast?

So I am going to tell you about my week of miracles!!! :) I was  praying Monday because it was just another tough day getting my comp to work. I was just praying that he would have a change of heart and that something would happen that would help me fulfill my potential and help him change, and then the next day we received a call that he was getting demoted to manor (junior comp) and special changed with our new Leader of the district. and that my new comp would be Elder Smith, and that I would be bumped up to mayor (senior comp!). Gosh it was a miracle!!! Elder Smith is the most obedient comp I have ever had!! Plus Elder Winland got special changed with us so we are a trio who have made a pact to change this mission!!!! ESO!!!! Im so excited!! We are also going to baptise three people this week! I'm way excited for that!! I hope it turns out! (same family from last week!) well we went to ruins today so I will send pictures I don't have a lot of time to write!
I love you guys!!!!!!!!

Another week. A Baptism!! Yahoo!

I had a baptism this week. His name is Jose Luis. it had to be one of the most special baptisms I have ever felt. He definitely will be an active member his whole life! His spirit and testimony is so strong! To be honest, my mission is not having alot of baptisms, but they feel that  if you have a baptism every 3 changes people look at you as successful. The truth is the only reason why it's hard to have baptisms is that the missionaries aren't following the rules because they believe that the only way to be happy is to break the rules, but this isn't true. To have a good area, the missionaries for 6 weeks have to work hard not expecting success (because of the 5 weeks baptism rule). The President is going to take me and my comp somewhere cool to celebrate our success! I am really excited! But I'm more excited for this following week to give my all to the Lord and become an instrument in his hands! I am hoping to baptize a little family this week. The son has stopped smoking (it is sad because to buy a cigarete all you need is l 2 pesos like 15 cents and they even light it for you..) and drinking (he is 15). He is a member but no one has visited him in 5 years and he has totally changed his life and his mom has changed too, and she and his little brother want to get baptised!! I am wayyyyy excited for them!! Hope it turns out!!! I love you guys, You guys are always in my prayers!!

Time a Flying - February 10, 2014

Well first of all my comp is deader then a dead dog on the street! and thats pretty dead haha anyways I have been pulling him around on a leash teaching every lesson solo planning everything. and he just doesn't want to do anything. He has this rule that after every baptism he takes the next week off.. but we are still putting in the grind, and we are going to have two new baptisms this week! woo! Im determined to resurect his enthusiasm, haha.. anyways we had a way cool experience this week!
One of the potential baptisms came to church 5 weeks in a row, and then he told us he wanted to be baptised! but then we didn't see him for 5 weeks.. but then he showed up to church yesterday, and told us that he went through some rough things, and also had a new job where he had to work on Sundays, and that he was praying the night before, and he received an answer that he needs to be baptised. Then he talked to his boss to see if he could change his hours and he could go to church and then he was bearing his testimony about the church and his testimony made me start to cry.. I am officailly a baby haha and then he told me thank you for the text messages they really helped me out and helped me find this happiness i feel now. It was the first time that I had felt the spirit that strong on my mission. Gosh I hope his baptism pans out!
well my life is routine.. we have good days, lots of bad days, but in the end we have success through our hard work just like life. Oh actually I changed my life up a little bit.  Bought 7 new pens different colors to change the day from day to day! Yeah I'm different haha.  Well I feel pretty dang confident with my Spanish. I don't know how I didn't think I could even imagine feeling this one day. haha I thinks it's cause the only time I use English is these Mondays haha.
Well I love you guys! This church is true :)

January 12 Another post accidentally not saved.

Here is a little about my week! so this week was awesome except i think im so tired i might just die all the time... jaja yeah but really God is blessing this work and this work IS growing we just need follow every prompting and do everything we possibly can and God will do the rest!!! God is preparing his people we just need to find them!! this week has been a fisical drain and i really just tiring haha but one thing i learned this week is that if we are praying to see the hand of God we will see it. it is like the wind in John 2.7 ( I think haha) the spirit of god is everywhere helping everyone aand helping them become ready for our message. We had an amazing week again but really this area is about to start maintaining itself because the members are really helping us. At first they were annoyed about how persistent we are being but now they are starting to love accompaning us and are starting to share the gospel with their friends! I hope I can stay in this area long enough to see the fruits of my labors but i will go wherever God needs me! :) anyways I love you guys! You guys are always in my prayers :) LOVEEEE

About this week!! This week has really been in one word a miracle!!! I was determined to change this area into an area where we can bring as many people who are prepared by the lord for baptism into the waters of baptism! and really I said tons of prayers and did my very and utterly best and put my faith in God and this week has really harvested the fruits!!!! Wow is the only word I can describe!!!First there was rock in my shoe or more like a pebble haha, but every time I felt it. it reminded me to pray and ask God to direct me to his children who are ready for the gospel. So I kept it in my shoe haha (yeah i know kind of lame..) haha but anyways we always found people to teach, and were always progressing our investigators!!!! iI also really focused on following every rule including the rule about putting a date for baptism which alot of people think is impossible so they don't do it!.. but really following that, and really trying and praying to help my investigators progress towards baptism really worked we also were extremly persistent with the members to help us and have this work be their work and it really helped!!! This week I helped more people progress then any other week. I also realized that this work is not our work it is God's, and if we follow every tool and do everything we can, God will harvest - not us. Our work isn't ours. It's God's. We are just instruments!! When I did that, we had more success then I could of even thought!! We put 18 dates for baptism had 12 (inv) people at church, and had 22 lessons with a member (before I had never had more then 9 dates, and 5 people in church and 9 lessons with a member) God really is preparing his children!!! Yeah I might feel tired out of my mind every day, but I know that I'm doing the lords work :)
I love you guys

And he said yep. haha and we worked really hard had 53 lessons  put alot of fechas and are going to have 3 baptisms this saturday they are three little girls lori hannah jhoselenn they are the coolest kids ever (9,9,11) they read there scriptures every night go to church solo every sunday and are starting to reactivate their families who havent come to church in 15 years. Really its been one of the best things to watch is these girls families change because of their faith. Really i think our members need the faith of these 3 little girls haha im so excited for them! plus it will be my first baptisms! so Im way excited! i am short on time today but that is total! :) I love you guys you guys are always in my prayeers

December 23, 2013 - Christmas Week

So a little about this week!! This week a member of the 70 came and talked to us and gave us these new amazing goals for the Oaxaca mission!! We have to try for 40-60 lessons (our goal was 30) and one baptism every week!! Its a little nuts because here in Oaxaca its really hard to put 30 lessons because the people here are not as receptive.. but it was awesome because I was talking to my companion the day before about how we could pull off a complete resurrection of my area (my last comp didn't work it in a way that there would be future baptisms after he left) so we were throwing around all these ideas about more effect lessons that are a little shorter so we can find more people. And then I was throwing these ideas around to our district leader. and then Elder Valensuela basically said that we need to start doing all my little ideas about being more effective and finding more people! haha So I was way pumped for this week!! And we had an awesome week!!! We found two really good prospects who could possibly get baptised!! WOO!!! With my favorite investigator Jacobo and his wife, they prayed about the Book of Mormon, and they know its true!!! It's awesome because I'm watching them change there lives!! :) Gosh I know this church is true and can really change lives!! I LOVE YOU GUYS thanks for your prayers and for your emails!! I'm so blessed to have family like you guys :)
