Hi Everyone

These past 6 weeks have been a grind.. haha but I have to say that I can now say that my area is back up and running! Better then ever whoo hoo, but really I'm so tired I might just die.. we usually have lessons at 8 and so we can't study..  I'm going to start waking up earlier if we have lessons in the morning. We have 23 potential dates scheduled, and I'm going to say 5 sure ones for this month next( I hope haha). Because the thing is simply getting people to come to church. Really it isn't because they don't want to come. It is usually because they either have work, don't have money, or a car and live in the goma (really far) haha. But we had an experience, really cool with this family who have fechas for baptism. We were asking them if they knew the Book of Mormon was true, and then they started bearing their testimonies about how when they were reading the book they felt this peace that they had never before felt and how they know these things are true. Really this our purpose not to obligate people to get baptised, but to help them find out for themselves that this is the church of God and then to help them make this covenant of baptism with God. Really I don't care if I have 30 fechas. I won't be fully pleased tell every person that needs to hear this gospel from me in this area hears it.  I have to say I love being a missionary and I LOVE YOU GUYS :) I want to challenge you guys to read the scriptures every day as a family :) Well you guys are always in my prayers! Love you guys,
Love, Elder D

  1. Hi Elder Grandson, Hope you had a great week. Grandpa and I are in charge of 9 pairs of missionaries and help them when ever they need help with their car or their apartments. We get to visit them quarterly and they call us when they need anything. It has been a lot of fun for us. We love the missionaries. One told a story for sacrament meeting Sunday that I thought was great. She asked us to close our eyes and wake up and pretend we are in the preexistence. An announcement comes over the intercom saying your name and that it is time for you to get ready to leave to go to earth. You are really excited and nervous. You turn to your friends and family and they all give you hugs and are equally excited for you. But what they say to you is, "Please do not forget us. Please do what ever you can to find us so we can be taught the gospel and return to our Heavenly father." You may not recognize us and me might be resistant to learning because we do not recognize you, but do not give up on us. We need you to find us. Do what ever it takes. Do you promise? You say, "Of course, I promise."

We are here on earth now and those of us here were found by a missionary, or born into a member family. Think about all those wonderful people we left and who are hoping we will find them. Please stay alert and be aware that they are there and the Lord has a missionary force ready to help each of us bring his children home to him.

What a great message for all of us that is. Maybe you an share that story with your ward and branch members where ever you serve. I was one of those that was found by a great missionary who I will always hold up as my hero. He was alert and was aware that I was searching.
Have a blessed week. We love you so much for the lives you are touching. Remember you do not have any idea how many people you are touching just by your being there. Love n hugs, Grandmom and Grandpop.
